Introduction to Intermittent23

I feel better today than I have ever felt. And, interestingly, I do not owe this feeling to a treadmill, or a dumbbell, or a certain food. I owe how I feel today to a diet I have been following for the better part of eight years now. It is not a diet that one can necessarily find online, however. In reality, many people modify popular diets to suit their health needs. There is no one diet that fits everyone the same way because we are all made differently. We all have different backgrounds that influence our physical and emotional makeups. If there is a diet, however, that I would encourage someone to try and modify for their needs, it would be intermittent fasting. This is a diet in which the individual decides to eat for a certain time of the day, and to fast the other times of the day. I call my diet Intermittent23 because my choice of fasting is for twenty-three hours. I usually only eat supper. Throughout the day, I drink a lot of water to maintain a sense of health and balance. Because of this diet, I always feel my happiest and healthiest. It has had a profound influence on my life in so many ways. It has, for instance, taught me the value of discipline. It takes, understandably, a lot of discipline to control one's calories and foods. Because of this practice, one finds that he or she is soon able to take on greater challenges. Another value of this diet is that it teaches me the importance of patience. When I am feeling stressed or down, I do not eat to manage those emotions. I have patience with realizing that my moods might be affected by other things.
